That's a very simple borderless easel for RC papers, just made of a flat board (wood, plastic, metal,
...) on which you glue a thin (1mm, 1/25") black square.
I painted the board in mate black to avoid reflexions but I must say that I haven't seen
any density difference between a black or white surface under the paper.
